League Classes Statewide – Featured programs for December

Date: Saturday, December 3, 10:00am-4:00pm
Tuition: $85 (10% discount for League members), plus $25 in materials
Ages: Adults

In this one day workshop, we will work small to large scale knitting with wire. The Viking knit will be our first project. Great for knitting chains, bracelets, and much more. Best of all, it’s low tech and portable.

Date: Saturday/Sunday, December 3 & 4, 10:00am-4:00pm
Tuition: $150 (10% discount for League members), plus $35 in materials
Ages: Adults

Experience the exciting and addictive magic of making glass beads on a torch! Students will learn the basics of flameworking with soft glass, learn how to pull and decorate work using stringers, shaping tools, foil, and more. One idea leads to another!

Date: Saturday, December 10, 10:00am-4:00pm
Tuition: $200 (10% discount for League members), plus $35 in materials
Ages: Adults

In this class students will learn the basics of working with silver metal clay to create a beautiful little wearable memory keeper. After firing the metal clay, students will be shown how to create pages and bind them together. Pages can be filled with photos, poems, thoughts and memories.


Holiday Origami led by Karen Beaver

Date: Saturday, December 3, 10:30am-12:30pm
Tuition: $22, plus $10 in materials
Ages: Adults and teens 14+

Decorate your home with handmade ornaments. We will make hanging paper ornaments, such as the classic crane, using origami and other paper folding techniques.

Ages: Adults and teens 12+

Learn to create Zentangle®-Inspired-Art (ZIA) and take home a winter or holiday-themed piece to decorate your house for the holidays! Previous experience suggested, but not required.

Tuition: $32, plus $10 for materials
Ages: Adults and teens 12+

Create your own custom ceramic tiles with Alcohol ink dyes which have an isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol base and can be manipulated in fascinating and unpredictable ways when mixed with other liquid mediums and applied to a non-porous surface. Take home 4 tiles! No experience necessary.
