In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the founding of North Country Studio Workshops (NCSW), we present this exhibition of multi-media work by artists that have attended workshops over the years. The exhibition will open with a reception from 5-7 PM on Friday, October 6th and will continue through December 22nd at the Gallery at League Headquarters in Concord.
NCSW invites established and emerging artists and craftspeople to take part in an advanced level arts education program. This professional development event of multi-media workshops offers hands-on learning experience taught by faculty who have achieved significant recognition in their fields.
The 2018 session includes workshops in clay, fiber arts, printmaking, drawing, jewelry, paper and book arts, painting, sculpture, basketry, encaustic, mixed media and photography. In addition, Stuart Kestenbaum, poet laureate of Maine and former Executive Director of Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, will offer supplemental writing seminars designed to encourage artists and craftspeople to Contemplate, Reflect and Create through the Written Word. Tracy Penfield, Director of Altus Healing Arts, will lead Mindful Moving: Stretch, Relax, Re-center daily. This gathering of artists and craftspeople, in the classic New England setting at Bennington College (Bennington, VT), produces a unique atmosphere of challenge, discovery, energy, collaboration and inspiration.
2018 Workshops will be held January 23 – 28. For more information visit: www.ncsw.org.
