From top to bottom, the state of New Hampshire has so much to offer each season of the year at all of its League locations. Here are just a few ideas for November!
Fall NH Open Doors (November 5-6) is a fun-filled, weekend-long event showcasing the people, places, and products of New Hampshire. On Saturday, November 5, and Sunday, November 6, artists, craftspeople, farms, and retail shops throughout the state are opening their doors and featuring special activities for all ages, including craft demonstrations, food samplings, raffles, special sales, and more. NH Open Doors, which is organized by the League of NH Craftsmen, is an opportunity to take a self-guided tour of New Hampshire’s scenic highways and country roads, and to shop (tax-free) for New Hampshire-made gifts for the holidays. Every League Fine Craft Gallery is participating, as are many of our Juried Members.
- At the Concord Fine Craft Gallery, visit with talented fiber artist Jennifer Diggs (November 5 & 6) and learn more about those wonderful chickens that are tickling the fancy of many clients throughout NH.
- The Headquarters of the League in Concord will feature demonstrations November 5/6 from talented craftsmen Elena Wikstrom (dry brush painting on fabric) and Robert Dorr (embroidery, non-metal jewerly). Stop in and view the current exhibition, End of the Rainbow, featuring new work from many of our League juried members.
- The Hanover Fine Craft Gallery is featuring the work of woodburning artist Heather Cannistraci on November 5 from Noon to 3 pm as she demonstrates her techniques. From 3-5:30 on the 5th, an opening reception will be held to celebrate the work of our artist of the month, Bruce Murray, potter.
